I Apologize in Advance

You may have been having a good day, and if so, I'm sorry. But sometimes it helps to take a good hard look at the truth. Sunday, April 25, 2009 is "Debt Day." (hat tip Powerline)The government has now spent all of the tax revenue they expect to collect for the entire fiscal year, which ends September 30th. That means that every dime (of the hundreds of billions of dollars President Obama and Congress are spending) spent for the next FIVE months will be borrowed from our good friends in China and Saudi Arabia, and will have to be paid back not only by us but also by our children and grandchildren...and great-grandchildren...if America lasts that long.

George Bush made many mistakes as President. He was a disappointment to me on many occasions. Compared to this, he looks like Reagan. Jimmy Carter was (until now) by far the worst President of my lifetime. His sniveling prissy clueless tenure in office nearly destroyed our nation. Frankly, compared to this, even Carter looks like Reagan. We are in real trouble...and we're not even 100 days in yet...

But as Lincoln said, if God wills to destroy everything we have collected and created in our history, we can only say "the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether."

A Brief Bible Study for Earth Day

Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Environmentalism has become a religion. I do not favor destructive behavior toward our planet, but it is not meant to be worshiped and adored. It is meant to be subdued and filled.

PS It's not getting warmer either. They're lying to you as part of their effort to gain power to further their religion.

Iowa Court Overturns Gay Marriage Ban

Today the Iowa Supreme Court continued America's march toward Sodom by overturnning a state ban on same sex marriage. (Not that any such thing exists. As Lincoln remarked, you can call a dog's tail a leg, but that doesn't mean it has five legs.) The ruling also contained this rather remarkable statement (hat tip the Corner):

In Footnote 26 these justices conclude: "The traditional notion that children need a mother and a father to be raised into healthy, well-adjusted adults is based more on stereotype than anything else."

Yep, thousands of years of human experience reduced to a "stereotype." What fools such mortals be...but then, that's not surprising. God told us this was coming.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:20-32
