31-3...and it wasn't nearly that close. It's been a long time since the Tide laid an old fashioned whooping on a good time like that...in fact, it's been since the SEC Championship game in 1999 when Alabama beat, you guessed it, Florida by a score of 34-7.
In a major statement game--the major statement so far in the Mike Shula era--Bama came up big, totally dominating ever phase of the game. The only downside all day was the horrific injury suffering by Tyrone Prothro late in the fourth quarter. He's going to be sorely missed.
Oh yes, and to the Florida player who said the only question was whether the game would be a blowout or a regular win for the Gators, it was a blowout! Roll Tide!
